Kayou Marvel Hero Battle: The Complete Card Checklist
I got another comment this week asking for a Marvel Hero Battle checklist, and honestly I’ve lost count of how many times that’s come up. This is one of those sets that technically “died” — Kayou moved on years ago — but people never stopped collecting it. And in all that time there’s never been a single printable checklist for the whole run. So I sat down and built one.
This covers every card, organized by series (1 through 5), grouped by rarity so you can see at a glance what you’re still chasing. But the part I’m actually proud of is the stuff that’s a nightmare to track anywhere else: the starter-kit LR “black pack” cards, the promo line, the 3D lenticular topper cards that sat on top of the original starter kits, and the Essential-box exclusives — that last box hides characters like Wolverine, Deadpool and Kang that show up nowhere else in the run. All told it’s 464 cards across five printable pages. Print it double-sided, grab a pen, and go dig through your binders.
I could not have put this together without my friends at Capsule Corp Gear, whose Marvel Hero Battle database is the most complete English-language source out there — if this checklist helps you, go give them a look and a thank-you. To round it out I also pulled from gacbinder, Coleka, the Trading Card Database, and my own card archive here on the site.
A couple of corners are still honestly a little fuzzy, and I’ve flagged them right on the sheet: Series 5’s exact rarities are best-estimates (marked with a ”?”), and I’m still tracking down the full Essential 1 box list and a few more of those starter-kit LRs. If you’ve got a card that fills one of those gaps — a confirmed rarity, a promo I missed — drop me an email and I’ll fold it into the next version. This is meant to be a living checklist, same as the My Little Pony one that we keep updating every season.
And if you’re hunting singles to close out a set, I keep a lot of Hero Battle cards listed over in my eBay store’s Marvel section — every one you grab helps fund the hunt for more.
